Not bicycle-related, but this just arrived from Burnham-on-Sea, England. It's a Roberts RIC 1 radio, covering the standard AM broadcast band and the longwave band, which is below the AM broadcast band. Longwave is used for broadcasting in Europe and North Africa, but only aircraft navigation beacons occupy this range here in the US. This radio was introduced in 1968 and discontinued in 1971. It pulls in distant stations incredibly well! The various cities that appear on the dial are very cool!
