    Thanks! It cleaned up well. The red has faded to some orange and some brown. I wet sanded and clear lacquered to finish and preserve as well as possible.     Saddle reshape went well. Soaked overnight in a bucket of water, then wrapped it up to shape. Let it dry for a few days and resulted in a nicely shaped original Brooks saddle. Final rub down will be with leather conditioner. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    The serial number has an extra Digit. Drop the 1st digit and it's a 1954 Schwinn #. The bike matches earlier Schwinn Double curved bar roadsters.
