Nice grips. Not channel locks marks, those are from someone having the brake levers right up against the grips. Went they pull the lever it digs into the grip. Not a problem though, those grips are practically indestructible.
It’s even worse then that! Whole bikes are still good but it’s one part that is obsolete after just one year. You then must buy a( new wheel just to get the upgraded axle ) example.
A little guidance here for a newbie, is this the thread for an 88 Schwinn cruiser Supreme if it’s a 5 speed model? Or should I start another thread for these as I know they went from 5 speed on up as the years progressed?
I just picked it up and am bringing it back to the road.
Thanks...
Hello Hastings!
New to the site but not to Schwinn bikes. Do not know yet how to send PM about purchasing these fenders.
Eager for a reply!

Done and done! Still winds up with play or too tight. Toothed washer employed between lock cap and adjusting piece as well. Just have to keep at it... and double check the crown race on the newer fork.
On the hunt for a donor bike for bits and a fork.
Thanks much everyone! Now I know what to look/ ask for. My frame came without a fork so have to use an 80’s Schwinn cruiser unit. There’s a problem getting the HS to stay locked down while moving freely. Thought it might be the bearing cages or the fork crown race.
Today was the first test ride.
