Riding my Flying Merkel
1899/1900 Ames & Frost Imperial Wheel
This Wheel should be in a museum. 9+/10.
I have yet to see another Men’s Model 84 or any later model that’s even close to or as nice as this. All original. It was found locally in Davenport WA, near Spokane where most likely it was purchased. I will include a pic of a 1901 ad for a Model 86 & 87 from W.H. Alexander (Pre Spokane Cycle & Toy). It comes with its original ornate hanging pouch. Wheels/Tubular’s are true and in riding condition if desired. Absolutely stunning.
As for flaws, saddle is showing its age but in fair condition for all original. One cork grip is missing its end cap but that’s about all for flaws. Sad to see it go.
