I live for the CABE
I'm going to sell off several of my bikes and stop with the restoration and hoarding, it's that time of life. Paring down and horse trading to a final count of 4 keepers seems good for now.
This is an original pre-war club machine, a hot-rod of its day. Pre war bikes are quite rare in England, more so than in the US. As far as rarity goes, no one has yet to see another Moth Sport Club with rear facing dropouts in any condition. Apparently, this one was brought here early since when I found it there were American parts on it from the 1940s.
21" frame. 26" wheels (597)
Completely restored, new paint and chrome. Handlebar was originally celluloid covered but is now powder coated, as is the fork. The frame and other bits are Enamel. Original parts and period correct except the bell is from the 40s and fork lamp late 50s. Tail bag is new leather.
Celluloid grips, mudguards and air pump. Original Perry chain. Original Armstrong stamped hubs. Rear flip flop double fixed hub has a Villier 20t freewheel on one side. Correct saddle is in nice visual condition, not restored and is for looks. Kinda fragile from age so would need a ridable one to ride it. The bike is completely ridable, no issues.
It's been a wall hangar since I finished it.
Comes with ephemera and a bag of og parts that were replaced. Also with a thumb drive with before, during and after photos as well as a lot of Armstrong information and ephemera. Can come with other correct driveline choices.
PM me if serious, otherwise I will answer questions here if there are any.
I'd love to send this back home to the UK.
$2200 in the US. Personally Delivered within 500 miles of Iowa. I also go to Seattle often so within reach of that route. Or shipped anywhere disassembled in several boxes for $2300.
£2500 shipped to Europe.
