Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
For sale: set of late 1940s Schwinn three speed wheels. 26 inch stainless lightweight rims, 597mm bead seat.
1949 Sturmey Archer AW rear hub, Schwinn script front hub, nice Torrington double-butted spokes, two-flat Schwinn spoke nipples, Schwinn S6 stainless rims. Hub inscriptions still pretty crisp. Hub internals recently cleaned and lubricated. Rims are pretty straight but would benefit from some additional truing. Sturmey AW has the correct Garland-type oiler port and threaded driver with blued cog. Cog has moderate wear but new threaded cogs are available for these drivers if you want to change it. Standard 5 3/4 inch axle for the AW hub. Wheels come as shown, with the hardware shown in the photo.
