A Schwinn built Hawthorne with the same chainring:

These front chain "rings" really are something. The variety of design, spec, pitch, offset, thickness and the most mysterious, the Maker is not well understood. Over the years reading through the threads, it seems to be open ended as to who manufactured them and who sourced them. It's noted in the old ads "we make all our fittings and hubs", but not necessarily Cranks and Rings and what "fittings"? Miami seems to have made theirs, Davis may have, Emblem as well, Pierce? Would be interesting to hear from the wiser users ☸️regarding this. An arm and ring id thread with specs would be great also. After finding that cool 1913 Miami ring a year or so ago, I began to realize in every case the ring specs must have followed the arm design/specs, leaving wide~open the next step of the many-varied spinning designs, emblematic of our own existence..🌞
