Finally riding a big boys bike
Just a lil patina on this 'ole Nov '64 ..........LOL ! Mostly original bike which could be rideable or great resto. See pics for obvious condition.
Before I get into the description, expect the "Typhoon" guard will have plenty cryin foul. Fact is I got it w/o a guard + had this guard w/ matching patina/paint. It is obvious bike was an original Sting Ray, as pic shows the original to the bike fork, has worn a fork crown for it's entire life. Also, another fact to distinguish 'tween a Typhoon + SR is that it has a chrome kickstand......as seen in pic.
The center stamped Schwinn S7 + S2 wheels are are very rusty/pitted. The S7 has a newer, useable non Schwinn axle in SR fat hub. The S2 has loose ,rusty spokes ,but sports red band Bendix coaster hub. Both tires hold air, but very cracked.
The Persons solo polo is missing tag, but has a solid bottom pan. The Persons strut has plenty of surface rust + should cleanup better.
As previously mentioned, frame + fork are both Nov '64. Paint condition is shown in pics. Seatpost is NOT stuck!
Handlebars are very scratched/rusty w/ very poor chrome. No pedals included.
Add a lil work + this could be a great rider!
