My bud in the shop did two cranks for me, first was a core, then an OG numbers matching crank, guess which one went in crooked....-

I heard from a customer that had a b block snowflake intake and when helicoil carb stud it was crooked. Not worth the time to index the job.

I have an alloy drive side crank arm with a stripped pedal hole. Re-tapping the hole won't work as the hole is too big now.
Might show a picture of degree or extent of the damage to the threads in the crank arm?

I ended up ordering a crank set. I'm sure its coming from China, where it is estimated to come in 3 weeks, but will probably get lost in transit or will not be the right part if it arrives. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Lh helicoil kits are readily available as well. The only time I have experienced helicoils backing out is with constant repeated use. Very unlikely a pedal would ever see this kind of repeated removal. Wow just saw post for 9.99 for a crank arm! No contest there, that is the way to go.

As I suspected, the ordered crank set from China was wrong on arrival. It was a 33 tooth steel crankset vs the 38 tooth alloy set I ordered. I will pm Archie Sturmer to ask where he saw the $9.99 one
