If I was in Omaha I would offer 350.00 and try to take this home..............but a good deal at 450.00!!!

Ok, I gave the Omaha locals a week to jump on this - hoping some young collector would be inspired to do something neat with it. Hoping someone that needed a bike worse than I need another bike would rescue it. But…

That said… I’m pretty pumped to have another “save” project and I’ve never had a Panther before! So….

This one was picked up at an estate sale and posted by @RJWess. Fun meeting him in person and now have it in my basement shop to disassemble and detail. Couple cold months left here in Nebraska so that is where I will hibernate for awhile!

Carved a couple hours out of this afternoon to disassemble it and see what I got.

And that’s where I shut ‘er down and headed up to dinner with my wife because it’s Valentines Day, and that’s the real priority…

Well, it’s been three weeks and I think I’m finished! I told my wife I would make this project last a couple months, but you know how it goes when you get excited, and you have all your tools drug out…

it probably doesn’t look too different from when I brought it home, but everything has been taken apart, polished, fixed, greased. Added a seat, EBay bars, new tires and some killer green grips from @Midwest Bikes today as the frosting on the cake!

Oh my…! it rides so nice (after only a couple shakedown tightenings) Ain’t gonna win any beauty pageants but still a cool looking survivor! Thanks @THE BICYCLE BLOODHOUND for the heads up on this thread, and @RJWess for finding and offering this Panther up!

Congrats - that's a perfect OG Patina bike = 10 !!!!!!
You don't get to find them like that often anymore and have the pleasure of bringing them back to a point of what they were when new !!!!
