@DrRumack80 Enjoy the new toy when it arrives! Hysterical that the bike turned out to be YOURS!! 🤣

Thanks, Harpo! I bought another 3-speed that I should be getting this weekend, provided my car is out of the shop. It's a circa 1949-52 Raleigh Sports with a Dynohub and full chaincase. Big thanks to @SirMike1983 for his help in identifying this one.

15 bikes went out plus 60% of my spare parts. Adding two more to the collection is justified, I think. LOL I'll have 18 bikes when all is said and done. I used to have over 60!

@DrRumack80 My high point was 52 bikes years ago. Got it down to 20... back up to just about 40 😬 Ridiculous!!
I had one or two Rudge bikes, and a couple of Raleigh Superbe's with the Dynohub and all worked.

Love the English 3 speeds. I've had a few Rod Brakes Tourist's over the years and they're great. Like riding on a cloud. The one I have now was converted at some point to a coaster brake, no speeds.

You're getting a beauty from @SirMike1983 and the one being delivered from across "The Pond". Please do a Post when it arrives! 🙂

40 is not that bad - some collectors here have twice that many, maybe even more. 😃 I will definitely do posts when I get the bikes.

I should have the early 50's Raleigh Sports this weekend, possibly tomorrow. The seller advertised it as a 60's bike, but SirMike quickly sized it up as anywhere from 1949 - 1952. Hopefully the dates on the SA 3-speed and the Dynohub narrow it down.

Hoping to have the one from across "The Pond" by next weekend!

The Rudges are particularly nice bikes. Do you have any 3-speeds left in your collection?

Only 3 Speeds left are two Raleigh's. A brown "Raleigh Twenty" and a green "Raleigh RSW". Both all original. All the others are gone. 😕

Hey Ozzie and Harpo - that is my bike! 😃 Ed My560sec is selling it for me. I have no balloon tire bikes left. I've been bitten by the British 3-speed bug. My collection will be all early mountain bikes and British roadsters.

This bike is on its way from the UK! It's a 1911 Raleigh roadster with front rod brakes and a Sturmey Archer FN Tricoaster hub. Hope Fedex does not turn it into a high carbon steel pretzel. 😬

@ozzie - can you give my Rollfast a good home in Sydney? 🙃

Hey Doc. That’s a great bike and I would love to own it but I also suffer from the same disorder. OCD. Obsessive cycle disorder. BTW I am in Melbourne.

Hahaha, I hear you! I know you or Harpo would give it a good home.

Sorry, brother, I thought you were in Sydney. One of my best friends, Art is from Sydney. He lives here in NJ now, but goes there to visit his folks and siblings.

The Raleigh Twenty is a sweet bike. Have to look up the RSW - not familiar with it. You need at least one tall-frame Raleigh Sports or Roadster. 🙂

I have the 1978 Raleigh Tourist with Rod brakes. One Speed. Here's my RSW...

And I forgot about the 1965 Raleigh Sports with a looking fork with the key. Photos as purchased, but it now has the original Brooks B72 on it that the owner removed when new.

@DrRumack80 Here's the only Raleigh Tourist I have left (all the others are long gone). Photos are with the saddle that was on when I purchased the bike. Rear hub had been changed to a coaster brake, but the rims are terrible looking. Spent most of its life near the ocean, so that explains it. 😕
