    Although not new to bike mechanics in general, this is my first shot with an older bike. How does one remove the front wheel assembly from a not slotted front fork? I guess the axle can be un threaded, but it would seem their is an easier way. I feel as though I should be able to figure this...

    I have a Huffman built Snell. SN is 46457. Trying to date it. It has a New Departure Model D, but I don't think the rear hub is original, appears to be a none stock rim. See pics. I looked for a Huffman/Snell SN list, but not successful. I'd love some positive input as to year. Thanks
