1935 Hawthorne Motobike...Just Got It

Yes, agreed great find...only missing the original straight crank arm. It looks to be a 50's Monark crankarm on the bike now but this should be an easy fix.

Amazing find! I have one just like it in Red and it’s my favorite rider. I would kill to find a blue one like that.

YUP...rims spray painted silver. You can see the paint on the nipple.
But why? No rust poking through, and the spokes are void of any rust. Doesn't make any sense...

Took roughly 20 hrs off an on to clean it up but was worth it. I’d say 95% of original paint still there. Not currently using the rims but they cleaned up nice as well

Theirs a 1935 Shelby Moto bike on Craigslist that looks somewhat the same as your bike. Nice score. RideOn. Mark.
