Offering up this 1938 Colson imperial project. Looks to be like an older restoration that was done with a few correct pieces and a few not so correct. It’s currently in a two tone red paint scheme with no pins. I had a two tone red b6 and it had gold pins….highly recommend going that route with it if you end up with it. All the chrome pieces are not factory chrome and have been redone. Some flaking on the inside of the guard but hard to tell. Fenders are in really good shape but there is slight rounding on the front fender. (Could easily be re shaped to be pointed.) you’ll also have to cut a hole for a mouse light to make them true imperial fenders. The neck isn’t correct and looks to be off a road bike? Looks close and could be possibly shaped to look like the real thing or just go and find the real deal. Light isn’t correct either but fits it for the mean time if you don’t know what you’re looking at. The wheel set is good chrome and could be cleaned up real nice. The frame is stained C8 making it a legit 1938 frame. Can’t say it was initially an imperial from the factory but it’s got a lot of the right pieces to make it one now. I made a parts brake down list to see what you will be saving if you were to buy it piece by piece just to this point. I own a real imperial and I spent a fair amount more than what’s being offered on this one. This is a great opportunity to own a real high end bike at a reasonable starting price. If you also need help building it up I’d be more than happy to track down the rest of the correct parts.
