I live for the CABE
Finally carved out enough time to see this project through and get this jewel tank back in the wild. I'd say I'm 85% there which is good enough for now...I really wanted to ride this bitchen machine! As purchased, bike was nice but had some reproduction and restored parts on it that needed to be addressed. I ended up sticking with the rechromed rack top since an original chrome tops seems to be unobtainium but eventually hope to find a patina matched original. I would like to kick up the feather guard with one a bit nicer but the longer this one is on the bike the more I like it and is infinitely better than the repop guard it came with. The original curved miller stand would not hold the bike up so had to go with a straight stand that I had on the shelf until I source another curved stand. The wheelset was restored so set those aside for another project and built up my nicest original hoops with front drum and rear ND that I plan to upgrade with a two-speed conversion. I have not spent any time on the wiring and electrics...that's a low priority.

Overall, I've got this bike dialed in quite nicely mechanically riding straight and minimal rolling resistance (gotta love NOS bearings!) which takes some doing with ND rear hubs...I considered using a Morrow hub which basically spin perpetually but I do like to stop and wanted the two-speed option.

Some thanks are in order because without your help this project would not have happened: @onecatahula, @Rust_Trader, @Scrick67 and always appreciate guidance from @mr.cycleplane.

In all it's glory...hope you like it!
