My grandson and I just reassembled an all-original Columbia bike that we have worked on over the last few weeks. He thought it was toast but I knew better and it was fun teaching him how to remove 50 years of grime and dust baked on over the decades. I will let the pictures speak for themselves and answer any questions as to what I used and how I used products to achieve this without damaging any of the original paint or chrome. I did have to paint the rims but everything is as it was uncovered and preserved. The headlight was the only piece missing and I got a repro here from The Cabe. I rode it for 4 miles and it rides like a dream, with a nice gear ratio. Surprisingly much lighter that my '59 and '62 Schwinn Panthers.
