Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Brought this ol' boy back from The heartland of Indiana road trip a couple of months back...as found
it was a mostly complete bike...front fender missing, wrong Faulhaber Seat, no drum brake
set up. Found a suitable decent matching fender on the shelf... added a working expander
brake, cable, clip and lever, added the right reflector to the back fender, cleaned it up
slightly. Bike now has a later Phantom/Cycle Truck/ Wasp Schwinn approved saddle in
decent shape. Could swap out and add a correct restored Mesinger B-1 leather seat for
an additional 200.00. Patina bike with a good look! Rides super smooth.. original
Goodyear tires are holding air, I replaced the rusted out fender light battery tray
with what looks to be a decent survivor original, haven't tested. Key is an old Stop
Sign shaped antique cool looking octagonal "Yale" key. Love the badge...what a shop
that must have been with the old Schwinns and vintage radios back in Gary Indianas
heyday! Bike deserved saving and not butchering as is the game these days... so spent
a bit of time making it proud and complete again. S-2's are ok, front has shinier chrome
and one edge ding, rear has no dings.. duller plating.
Neat ol' B6 in 'their color'.
Sorry about the blurry ones... can reshoot the B side if need be.
1200.00 or 1400.00 with the upgrade seat swap.
Local PU the best but will ship for cost.
