Finally riding a big boys bike
I intend to bring this bike to Copake, ride it in the 10 mile, then was going to auction it for St Judes. However, both my friend and I have seen bikes go for very low amounts at this auction (there apparently is not a minimum). So I thought to post it here, to get some more money to St Judes. You would get it from me at Copake, can hand Mike or Seth Fallon the cash, or I can. The bike was restored, all parts removed and cleaned, greased. It runs as it should, brakes are strong, shifter works properly. I did not get the generator system to work but it is all there and clean. I think the bike is entirely stock (including the Lohmann generator system) except for the grips and rear tire which is a gumwall that I painted black, since it's in good shape. Front hub and seatpost say Schwinn in script. Brooks saddle and bag are in good shape. The decals were bad so I touched them up with Sharpies; now they look good from normal viewing distance. This bike was red, and has faded to a red-gold combo. Hub says 52 9 and serial number is C15423. Pics show condition (first pic is how I got it) and I can post more if requested. Please bid?
