Your ‘65 J37 coaster brake was available in four colors.

Awesome! I really appreciate all the info. Now just curious on the frames….i know you mentioned it was a long frame but was that some kind of special order? The ad doesn’t seem to mention different frame options

The longer frame size was a Schwinn design change, not a special order.

The early Stingrays (63-64 and the first 3+ months of ‘65) used the short frame.
April of ‘65 Schwinn started using the long frame for the Stingray.

My BA - Feb. ‘65 shorty S/D.
Your HA - Aug. ‘65 long frame S/D.

Several differences on these frames, but the top tube on the shorty has a more noticeable arch.
The long frame has a flatter top tube.

Another Schwinn change was the paint.
Two different Violet colors were used in ‘65.
The BA is an Opal Violet.
Your HA is called Violet which has a darker shade.

Is that also the difference in the color Opal Violet vs. Violet?, from Feb to Aug.
