Krateboy

Look Ma, No Hands!
Original 1971 Cotton Picker. In my opinion the hardest Krate to find in this condition. Most original Cotton’s resembled Dalmatians after a while. Very fortunate to own this bike

Nice bike. In my opinion hardest Krate to find in any condition even though it was a 2 year bike (unless you want to include a 68 Pea Picker which had a run of just a few months). As I stated here before, how many 10 year old or so boys would choose a white bike with a white seat when they were at their Schwinn Dealer and saw all the other wild color Krates lined up next to this white bike. I bet their were less Cotton Pickers made in the 2 year production run than the Ghost that had a year run. I have the fewest original paint Cotton Pickers in my collection than any other color as they are tough to find which is why I always pay up for a nice Cotton Picker as I kind of like white bikes as I have grown old.

Great bike. Yes, I agree with hard to come by. But try finding an earlier '68 Pea with the original silver seat with green stripe which is the hardest of all Krate seats to find by far in my opinion with the '68 Apple, Orange, and Lemon seats with the color matching stripes not far behind. My opinion anyway.

I’ve never seen a silver 68 seat with green stripes. I only thought they were an accessory seat. Love to see a picture of an MD with one
