Don't post em for me I don't want it. Had my share of those yrs ago.
Pedals are incorrect even though you think there correct they shouldn't have that lip around the reflector. It should be smooth/flush.
Screw on rivets on the fenders in 71 c'mon
Older rear tire
"Newer" seat reflector
Paint work done in numerous places. Believe to be repainted as chips look thick too. Showing no red primer under em
Sticker on down tube starting with a 3 digit phone #
Cables not a bit yellowed for the age.

Yup, no Red Primer tells the story.
All Cotton Pickers have this primer under the white.

It also could have been painted another time and sent to "Pete" for screening ... never gonna know 100% for sure. It's got alot going on and alot going wrong.
Why would the guard be so clean and not the frame? Mismatched parts for sure

Now that I know this bike has been repainted, it's actually liberating that I feel I can ride this bike and maybe scratch it up a bit. I've been so impressed with the CABERs that ride and don't hide their rare and expensive bikes. Once I remove the chain guard and tuck it away, this bike is going to be enjoyed. Only removing the chain guard so people don't see a middle aged white guy in a bubble wrapped suburb riding a cotton picker.

Once again, thank you so much for the benefit of your experience in unwinding some of the history of this bike.

Maybe in a few years I'll sell this as a rideable tribute to a cotton picker. The mini-twinn is probably going to get some miles on it as well.

I wouldn't be 100% sure that the guard hasn't been repainted at some point. Or it was bought on Ebay for that bike after being repainted because it was screened. Either way doesn't make it original or non original. That would require a very close hands on inspection. Just because it's a different color doesn't mean it's original. Matter of fact it looks a bit too white.

Pete wasnt the only guy screening….my brother made his own screens much finer than Pete and were 99% accurate where Pete just used decals that had been produced and were often wrong and Pete’s were super thick, my brothers were flat and were spot on, sometimes he was able to put letters right back over the old letters left as shadows….he did dozens for customers and stopped once Pete got sued by Schwinn
