I don't think badge is original? I think he added it. The forks are early Sidewinder tapered forks. Don't know the story on those either? He was the original purchaser of this around 2003 from the orig owner in Delano, MN? It got traded around Minnepolis/St. Paul for a bit and came back to him in trade. He hurt his back and cannot ride it anymore... It's clearly missing some original parts, like Team Schwinn (Sugino) cranks, Ukai 7c on whatever they used? and I think the orig saddle (which was on it, but got bent) was an Avocet Touring (Schwinn marked).... but the bike has been tastefully rebuilt with period correct, nice parts and it's super early...

The head badge is not original. A blue frame was NOT a factory production bike. It was sold as a frame ONLY, and it would have not had any head badge date code!

no, thats the orig paint for sure ( & has appropriate aged shop decal on it) and they were made in blue. Head badge has been swapped , correct. Its not the chromo version with tapered forks. Hi ten on this one. worth 1k to 1200 in decent shape on this one.. buyers market at present. many people dumping bikes for space or ebikes

I stated the blue frames we only sold as a bare frame, and they were not sold as a complete bike from the factory!
