That is a good read. I also have 2 of the Gary Turner 26" cruisers made by Gary and his son in Orange CA. I have one from the 45th anniversary which appears to be a copy of the 1981 GT 26" cruiser.

and I have the 50th Anniversary bike which is modern like with 1 1/8 headset and v brakes.

Both Awesome though. I am an absolute GT freak.

Update on the 20" Build. Stem, Bars and Brakes went on.

The Bars are 1983 GT Pro bars and the stem is a Tuff Neck Re-Pop.

For Brakes, I also used a reproduction Dia Compe brake set and lever.

Really enjoyed this! I like the way your inspiration / motivation works. I always cobbled together my BMX bikes, too. Probably why I still do it today
