John D. Williams

Wore out three sets of tires already!
Saw this bike for 50 bucks and knew it was worth a resto. Mongoose expanded into road bikes around this time (which is why it says BMX on headbadge), contracted with MBK (Motobecane) to make this, and I've been told it's kind of a rebadged Jubilee Sport. Not sure what level of Columbus tubing, probably Aelle? Campy and Maillard parts, Weinmann brakes, Sun Mistral rims. I was lucky to find the downtube decal set from clickitandstickit.com. I added a Mongoose saddle, bar tape, a Campy 980 rear derailleur (had a Suntour), Vittorio tires, and that decal. The Columbus Inexternal decal was unobtainable so I carefully printed and sharpied it best I could. On the lookout for toe clips for the Maillard platform pedals. 23 pounds! Enjoy.
