Curious as to opinions on year built. Number checks to 52 buuuut drop center rims, morrow hub P checks to 46, dogleg crank, license plate, Schwinn script front hub, included a pic of kickstand. Thanks for any and all replies Rick

The '52 date is for a number on the left drop-out. Numbers under the bottom bracket are earlier, '46 could be right. @GTs58 has been studying these early post war bikes. Are there any black-out parts?

That round tube style upper fender mount may even make it a 45! Nice find!

The "P" Morrow date code is for 1946. The letter "P" will be followed by a number which I couldn't read. Please tell me the letter. Your bike has all the components for both the 1946 and the 1947 Schwinn (BFG) D 97X-6 but the dated license plate (which to me is very special) is a strong indicator that 1946 is the true year of your bike. I love your bike!

What’s the pin that holds the kick stand in look like? Let’s see what the kick stand can end too please!? Dog leg crank as well as the tapered kick stand are early too.

Simply can’t find a number behind the p I’ll look closer if I decide to clean it up stand does not appear tapered to me thanks for replies

The cam is what the other 45’s I’ve seen look like. My thoughts are that maybe frame was made late 45 and assembled early 46? Purely speculation. 3 things stand out to me as 1945….the tube upper bracket, dog leg crank and kick stand cam
