This question is more out of curiosity regarding the Bendix red band coaster brake hub and restoring the red band/stripe/ paint in the middle of the hub. How would I go about doing this? Is there a specific red paint that I should use? I would like to know because while I have never done this, I am curious to know how to go about doing this. If anyone has advice, tips, tricks or anything I should know I would appreciate it. Thanks, Marshall.

Testors red in the little bottle is a perfect match. From a hobby shop or Hobby Lobby or online. Make sure the area to paint is clean. 90% isopropyl alcohol works. Then just use your brush to paint it. Being off the bike is a big plus. Painting it while mounted in a wheel is quite a bit harder.

Testors also makes an Enamel Paint Marker Red 2503 that works great! ... As stated, prep the surface really good before painting.

If you want the paint to really stay on there, look into a proper primer before laying down the paint. If not, the paint will just flake or rub off.
