I'm not entirely sure. How do I check/tell?

should say on the die, remove the 2 thumb & top plate and should say on the outer ring by the cutting teeth.

26 threads per inch (like for older Westfield bikes or English) might be more challenging to find; is the die adjustable, and in good condition?

Is it for cutting or chasing threads? Two different die. The tool itself is very nice and should hold any 2 inch die I would think.

How do I tell if its adjustable? I don't think it is? Appears to be in good usable condition.

I believe it is a thread cutter die. The threads gradually emerge on one end of it, as you can see in the pics.

Cutters are usually adjustable chasers are fixed, I may be incorrect but I think that is the deal
