Bicycle License Plates

What were the first and last years for bicycle registration metal license plates?

Most of what I have found seem to range from early 1940's to early 1970's. What has anyone else found for year ranges?

Also I'm looking for some Saginaw license plates if anyone has them:

I have metal plates from the 30's up to the 70's.during WWII some plates were made of a plastic type fiber. There were also stickers and stamping used.

Yeah these plates are pretty cool to collect I've seen them from early 30s into almost late 80s some during the war where fiberboard but you can find some in metal I have about close to 200 plates from east coast to West Coast

There have been plates/tags around almost as long as bicycles. In the 1890s/early 1900s some towns issued sidepath licenses -

Eventually most towns went with a sticker for registration presumably because it was cheaper.

Bicycle plates date to the turn of the century, I've seen photos of several from the late 1890's. Below are some in my collection............sorry checked my Saginaw plates and none available for the years you're seeking. I collect only Michigan bicycle plates should you have anything you'd like to part with either via trade or sale.
