Is that wooden carving supposed to be a bear? I especially like that first shot of the two bikes on the bridge, nice!
I dunno, part monkey, part Bear? It's bigger than I am, so I tread softly. Back in the day ( 1950's/60's) 2 cars would pass side by side, now just pedestrian traffic. I was in a car on that as a kid.

6th St. Bridge, East Los Angeles, California.

It looks like they stopped all motor traffic. What was the occasion?

Yes, they have these events, called, CicLAvia, ( a play on words, from the original events held in Bogota, Columbia, called, La Ciclovia.) where they close the streets on a Sunday, to motorized traffic, and only allow human power vehicles.
Although, they have started allowing electric bikes, which kind of defeats the original intent.🤨

Normally, the streets of Los Angeles, are teaming with automobiles.

So, these street scenes are very unusual.

You can sure see a lot more of the city from the saddle of a bicycle.
I encourage everyone to participate in these events, wherever they are held.

Rode part of Floyds Fork trail system today and crossed So many bridges. Some were so short that I didn't take any pictures, most looked like they were made by the same company, so I didn't include every bridge.

This one stood out in terms of pedestrian bridges. It has 3 arches and one of them is offset about 60 degrees from the other 2.

Last but not least, Pope Lick Train Trestle.

90ft at it's tallest, over a 772ft span. I can't seem to find an actual build date, but the consensus is that it was built in the late 1800s and it's still in service.

Here's a video with drone footage and a description of the lore surrounding it.
