My 2 cents worth is bikes, cars, anything rare and collectable fakes are out there.
Then a really knowledgeable expert comes along and says this is fake because of a,b,c, and d. So it's back to the drawing board and a,b,c,d get "fixed". Eventually it's hard for even an expert to tell.
Years ago I bid on a rare car on eBay. The seller said the previous owner installed something which I changed because that car never came with it. I wrote seller privately saying when you took that part off what was stamped behind it? He wrote back I never noticed then took it off eBay.
