I recently saw a post from a fellow member who was looking for custom bicycle license plates, and I thought to myself, "hey, I have the capability, the know-how and the materials" so I sat down, took some measurements and made a template and printed up my first sample.

What we have here is Baked Enamel finish on .04" thick aluminum.
This is the more common size plate of 2.625"w x 2"h.
If I can get a template for the tall, oval plates, I'm pretty confident I can make those as well.
These would not be an attempt to pass off counterfeits as these are UV printed, not stamped.
Might be a fun way to come up with a plate for that special bike, color combo, bike club, etc.
The possibilities are near endless and I could offer them rather inexpensively, for $15ea plus shipping for simple text on plates.
Holes or slots could be at the buyer discretion, but this would be the default unless otherwise specified.

Below are the colors we currently have in stock. These have a clear protective film on them so color is not as vivid as it is in person.
The red is very vivid, not orange as it appears here.

EDIT: I forgot, we also have brushed aluminum and gold brushed aluminum

Just wanted to say GREAT! I wanted my plates to look more like motorcycle plates, and I also wanted to use the scaled down auto plates for their detail and familiarity. But I think it's great that we now have a source for custom "bicycle" plates, hope you stick around!

Thanks Toby. I've been on here a long time. Just one of the quieter members 😁 The bigger question is how long the sign shop i work in hangs around. They are definitely struggling. Small son & pop shop and I'm the only other employee.
It's been real slow since the end of November.

A man with your skills shouldn't be lacking for job offers if it becomes necessary.

That whole thing really fires me up. People don't seem to realize that once they help Amazon run all the local shops out of business where are they gonna go then. I have a little hardware store right down the street from me, I REFUSE to even go to Lowe's for that simple reason. I will pray for you!

You might be surprised! I've been quietly looking for about a month (I fear my employer is going down). The graphic design world has changed. Now they want you to be a website builder, an animator, a marketer and a designer. I make less money today than I did in 2008. New employers pay less to start than what I'm making.
