This 1947, Turtleback Cushman, two speed, one owner shooter has aged gracefully. After a valve job it is ready to visit car shows. Goldenrod, in the black hat, is two years older than the scooter, and he hauls practice junk for David. The blue one was purchased at the Portland Indiana Meet. We ride Whizzers but being a tall and strong high school freshman, David fits the 1956 red Highlander one-banger better and the Whizzer bicycle tires get a break. After the new motor mounts arrive he will have a riding buddy on the red 1956 scooter. Notice the rebuilt engine sitting in the driveway. Days like this are milestones for friends and family. David wants to try a career of restoring cars but these clunky beauties fit his free time and wallet. We won't mention the subject of drivers license. Dude needs to practice. The guard rail around the back of the blue scooter was cut down and welded to fit this rare model that can give Piper Cub tires an addition life on the ground.

There use to be a Custhan Club. they even had a newsletter.
If you google Cushman you might find information and parts.
Arcadia Cushman was located in Ohio, I remember them because I have one of their t-shirts.
Good Luck.
