FOR EVERYONE AND ANYONE ON HERE:
• NO... I don't have photos of every single bicycle I have ever seen. WHO DOES? But I do have memories and tens of thousands of photos. No joke. But I don't have photos of me flying a plane or being certified at 147 MPH in a sports car. Speaking of... I don't have photos of every car I ever owned or saw. And I don't have photos of UFOs. But I don't care whether some dude on cabe wants to make this into a never-ending ridiculous argument. There are people right here on this forum who don't have photos of bicycles they have seen only recently when everyone and their brother has a digital camera. What is sincere about making such a point when the REAL issue is someone just trying to stoke an argument and act out a bias?????
• NO... I have no idea who was first collecting "Star Wars" items– as some sincere "big collector" just inserted in here to muddy things. Problem is...we're not talking about "Star Wars" here. So why mention it except to cover stupidity and bias? The word here not necessarily "persecuted" AND THIS ISN'T ABOUT ME. IT'S ABOUT MY IMITATORS, BIASED HYPOCRITES, SPOUTERS AND INGRATES. AND THE TWO-TIERED SOCIETY THAT EXISTS ON THIS "FORUM"
• IF it is a problem to hear, read or know what some one was doing with this classic bicycle stuff for 70+ years... and a person can't stand to learn this kind of fact, then why talk about the history of it at all? WHY be in the hobby? Just because someone TODAY wants to be a big shooter hero in this hobby does not put that person or ANY person in a position where long experience and long years of collecting and saving history is topped by some forum dude doing internet Googling!
• IF it is grandstanding to say or point out what one has actually done IN THIS HOBBY... then why be in it ????? What did YOU do to bring about this hobby where you are buying and selling and spouting "information"????? if anyone thinks that is mere "grandstanding"?????? What did THEY do? The answer is usually NADDA.
• This history is not– despite what some may think– part of a mutual admiration society. IF someone doesn't care in a venue where they are spouting off, then what does that say about them?
HERE IS A TIP IN RETURN FOR ANYONE HATING SO BLINDLY THAT ALL THEY CAN DO IS TO IGNORE THEIR OWN HYPOCRISY ... STOP COLLECTING CLASSIC BICYCLES, STOP PRETENDING TO BE AN EXPERT ON THEM AND... GO LIVE IN A CAVE IN CHINA. COMMUNISTS MAY WELCOME THIS KIND OF PHILOSOPHY WITH OPEN ARMS.
The lost design and perhaps others do exist as Leon mentioned, so I have to accept that statement he has made more than a few times. Before I kick the bucket, perhaps a full chromium plated Blackhawk with the plated truss fork all there will appear in a neighborhood garage sale carefully put away in a corner of a shed peeking out with swoopy tank graphics, but I won't hold my breath.
