Jet fuel is basically ultra refined Kerosene. Back when "Orange" cleaners were the rage I tried it w/little success. I found an old container of it and read the ingredients. Not a bit of orange in it. Press the liquid out of orange peels and that really does degrease things. Did not know LPS made a orange degreaser. Their penetrating oil is very good. Expensive if you can find it so I use it after nothing else works.

All Dino stuff is refined to different degrees. Diesel is near the bottom of the barrel and WD-40 is closer to the top. And with that after shave scent, WD is one of my favorite solvents. I spilled some diesel on my boots working on the farm and they stunk like hell for weeks.

I like lye bath. I have been restoring cast iron pans and it really degunks the pans, so I decided to put bike parts in to remove paint and grime. Works best heated to about 120 F. I also put small parts into a small jar with lye and then put in an ultrasonic cleaner and they clean right up. It is caustic so glasses and gloves. Also add 1 lb lye to 5 gal water, NOT the other way around. I have tried most everything mentioned here, and everything works to a degree. Don't use it on aluminum. I like warm purple power and the LA Awesome stuff. I generally strip vises in warm PP because it is way cheaper than Simple Green at Advanced Auto. I used to pay 20 bucks for 5 gallons
