There were actually two different kinds (three actually) but two main types. It appears that the hobby does not know this fact.
The type pictured in this thread was used on Elgin Bluebirds and Elgin Twin-60s. But not all Bluebird speedometers.
In 1935 and 1936, the Bluebird could have been ordered with a special Elgin Morrow rear hub. The special Morrow would not fit the drive basket shown. So a different drive basket was made for the Elgin Morrow. I have had several of these over the years.
The basket re-made here would be for an Twin-60 but Bluebirds only equipped with Elgin New Departure (1935-1936) and Elgin Musselman hubs.
Of course, many people today doing restorations on Bluebirds will insist on installing Elgin Musselman hubs when most Bluebirds never had these hubs when new...
