Finally riding a big boys bike
I have a 1939 Columbia single bar that is missing its original wheels. It uses a (NON skip tooth) 1/2" pitch x 3/16" ID width chain. The front chain ring measures .175 thick so I am assuming the correct rear hub would use a sprocket that would also measure .175" thick. It should be a 20 tooth. I understand that they came as a 20 tooth and also a 21 and 22 tooth. I have plenty of extra New Departure Model D hubs and only need a sprocket. I would consider a sprocket or a complete hub or a complete wheel - feel free to let me know what you have. Thank you very much for any help. Perry

I have an 18 tooth for ND. I also have 20t but they are for morrow.
Thanks for your reply. I may be interested in your 18 if I can't come up with a 20. Also, I have an extra Morrow hub here. I might be interested in your 20 for the Morrow if no one replies with a 20 for the New Departure. I'll keep you posted! THANK YOU very much ABC - Perry in NH USA

Thank you again for replying to my want ad. Much appreciated. Thanks to Mr. Lester - a 20 tooth has been found. Thanks again. Perry in NH USA

I have several ND 20 tooth but they are 2/16 wide.
Thanks for the reply. Yes, the .125" thick sprockets are later and after the .175" thick ones . I know the .125" sprockets from the Stingray era, but they may have been in use earlier and later than that. Thanks again for your reply.
