Reduced FS Late-1940s Shelby Western Flyer w/ Whizzer Model H Motor – Runs Good

For sale is a late-1940s motorized bicycle consisting of a Shelby-built Western Flyer balloon-tire bicycle fitted with a period Whizzer Model H motor kit. This is a historically plausible, period-style Whizzer installation and is being sold complete and as-is. I am not a motorcycle expert and no nothing more than what is listed in this listing. I acquired this bike and had the engine professionally gone through to get it into good working order prior to listing. Everything here was visually photo verified and is per the opinion of CABE member Leon Dixon - National Bicycle History Archive of America(NBHAA.com)

• Late 1940s production (approx. 1947–1949)
• Shelby serial stamped on bottom bracket: 1115097
• Original Western Flyer head badge
• Tank-style frame with matching chainguard
• New Departure Model D coaster brake
• Older restoration / repaint
• Saddle, wheels, and some components are replacements from prior restorations.
  • Balloon tires are brand new in 2025.
• Original faux gas tank side plates included but not installed (removed to accommodate Whizzer tank)
