I kind of figured that. Can you post a copy of the reporter I’d like to find out what date that came out.
Mid year 1966.
Schwinn Reporter, June ‘66 was the introduction of the colored chubby grips.

Tim,
Nice bike.
1966 Fastbacks were the only year that had Sprint components throughout the bike.

What is the serial number on this Fastback as there are several things odd on this restored bike.
Looks like the down tube Schwinn decals are for a Stingray top tube with the slight curve.
Missing the LH fork dart.
Also the rear derailleur is a 64 Varsity style with the riveted tag.
Bow pedals look like 1970.

Sorry for the critic, but all these items are correctable.

Some of the serial number was hard to read but here is my best guess BB02516. I put the missing fork dart on and here is a pic of the pedal. The missing rear reflector is on its way from Bicycle Bones and I still have some cleaning left to do. Tim

Looks like the second letter is a B=1966.

Here are a few pics of my Stingray pedal collection.
64-65 Large Cap Bow Pedals.
66-67 Small Cap Bow Pedals.
68-70 Bow Pedals.
