No crack can confirm just a trick of the light. Yours looks great! What wheels and chain are you using on it? I've been toying with the idea of a 3 speed hub I have one on my schwinn and they are just wonderful. Thanks for your feedback.

Good show, no crack in the frame. On the Excelsior I showed you, the Wheels I built myself using Mavic 700c alu eyeletted road rims, butted spokes & stainless nips. Hubs are Sachs Dreigang 515 3-spd coaster brake rear and Campagnolo front, both 36hole. Chain is a near-new skip tooth (1" pitch) chain found here on TheCabe. Expect to pay $50-$75 for a solid 1" chain with low miles...they do show up alot here. The big skip tooth chain rings in the front are of many different designs but are a bit tall for one-speeds. They work and mesh well with 3-spd hubs sporting larger rear cogs that will give you a more rider-friendly experience. The skip tooth drivetrain requires some fiddling, but has no advantage really over a 1/2" pitch drivetrain and chain.
