Sorry to be a nerd here but . ... when I worked in a bike store years ago, a sage old dude with a big long beard told me the difference between spindles and axles.

He said , " Spindles spin!" . .. so an axle is something in the middle of an assembly where everything rotates around it (like in a hub) and a spindle is the part of the assembly that isolates rotational movement to what is attached to it (like in a lathe).

Thanks for listening to me vent. Now I have to attach a drive shaft to my rear axle and connect it to my crank and BB spindle.

Reference here:

btw Monarkman if you are using the original crankset on that Fuji, I would guess using a 68 x 122 or 127mm JIS taper 1.37" diameter x 26 thread per inch. I could be more helpful if you spec'd out which crank you are using.

Cheers
Well I’m an idiot and I think you are correct. The

well I’m a fool and I believe you are correct. I tried fitting a sakae triple ring on the 113 to see if it cleared, it did, however I recieved the Sugino AG and it did not, the end of the sprocket bolts would hit the frame.

I did some math and using my calipers I think the 122 will work.

It’s coming next week. I will post an update if it ever goes together, lol!

Thank you again for your knowledge and advice, I appreciate you and this community very much!🚴🚴🚴🚴
