Help with identification

@rebirthbikes, definitely a 1916 Davis Chief as mentioned above by rustyjones and Glenn, just checked the spacing on the Chief badge holes. I've been enjoying my 1916 Chief for years, it's the best riding bicycle I have. Good luck in finding the remainder of the parts missing.

I had a Snell Bicycle that had a simialar paint scheme to that one......I cant remember what the sprocket was like on it.....That was several years ago and it is long gone.....I love those bikes but dont have the patience to work on them.....Good Luck.....

But unless someone also changed out the chain ring and pedals I think this could be badged as something else.

The sprocket is a Mead/Premier. Stamped M for Mead? Catalog pics from 1913 Premier line.

Looks pretty Chiefy to me!
Plus you have a killer “Chief” saddle you may want to consider having restitched with that original leather. Congratulations!
