Huffy / Huffman Chieftain Info Needed

Any info appreciated -- posting for a friend who just picked up a large lot of bicycle pieces, including some Whizzer items. It's this frame though that I'm having trouble learning about. It appears to be Huffy or Huffman, and the badge says Chieftain. Going by the serial number, it seems it would be circa 1947. Anybody have this model of bicycle for reference, or a piece of sales literature? Many thanks for looking!
