I also want to thank everyone who bought a jaf/co t shirt recently. Seeing some of you walk around the swap yesterday wearing one of these creations was a special treat and with Jim's blessing and your purchase helped me launch a new creative endeavor in bicycle related tshirt design. I'm humbled and eternally grateful for the experience and you made it happen. You all rock twice!! 😀

Wow! a great turnout and looks like some real good stuff showed up. I drove down for the June and August meets and was sorry to miss this one as I knew it was Jim's Birthday, but it was the same day as our Burley Creek Swap up here, 😥 I already miss all my Central Cal buddies and hope to see you in Turlock in January. It appears you had a great turnout and let's see some Jafco dates for 2026! Tim

We always look forward to a JAFCO swap meet, and this last one of the year didn't disappoint. Thank you Jim "Legend" @JAF/CO for hosting us again and for selling something awesome to me on this day. I was talking with the guys, and the usual question towards the end was "How did you do?" And my response was I'm just here to participate and be part of the event. I brought one table and a few items, shared a spot with brothers Frank and Armando @unclemoo, and that's it. Sold maybe a couple of items, but then again I wasn’t there trying to sell. Didn't even pull out the stuff inside the wooden military trunk I always bring. To me it's more of a gathering where we can all get to see each other, SoCal friends coming from a distance away like Jeremiah @volksboy57, Tony @The Hat, and Cliff @OC54, socialize, and talk bikes; that's what I get out of these swaps. And plus, I didn't want to miss celebrating Jim "Legend" on this day. It was brought up weeks ago by Chris, @slick, and what a fantastic surprise it was for Jim. Great idea Chris. That was super cool to see Jim’s surprise on his face.

A few fellas to thank. First, Jeremiah @volksboy57. Thank you for the JAFCO plate again. Like mentioned above, Jeremiah was a hit with his killer custom tags. They are dead on the originals and wonderfully made. Got a few gifted smalls unexpectedly from brother Mel @Mel_e_Mel, Jose @Jose 711, and Jerry @Pedals Past. Means a lot, so thank you.

And lastly, Jose @SJBiker. I had brought a set of aluminum fenders to roll out, just a couple of spots. I went to see him and he was busy working on a set. Went by again, and then I saw several fenders on the floor waiting in the queue. The third time, I go up I ask, "Where do I get a ticket?" Jose was busy all day working on fenders, even my wife noticed that Jose was rolling fenders most of the time that he was there. He did eventually get to mine, but it was close to the end of the swap. I don't think he got much of a break. Jose provides this service at almost every swap. Just so you know Jose, we appreciate what you do immensely. Thank you for always rolling our fenders.

And from what I hear, there will be more JAFCO swaps in 2026, so that is wonderful news right? See you on the next one.

Thanks Eddie!! 😁 If we have another jafco swap in 2026 ill offer the following special where if anyone brings me a fender and the work is under 5 minutes I'll do it free ( I'll have a stop watch) just to generate some interest and otherwise I'm at 5$ per 15 minutes of labor after that.
🤝 Deal ?
For the record I rolled 16 fenders yesterday plus or minus a middleweight set 📐.... I'm happy I was able to help 😄
I don't mind doing this after I get to shop early in the 🌄 morning playing the early bird routine.

Did anyone else but me hear Jim say to everyone "5 next year" after the cake came out. Sometimes difficult to hear Jim as he uses a electrolarynx I think it is called. Later when Jim and I were talking I said to him 5 next year wow, and he nodded. Maybe I heard wrong, whether it be one or five next year I hope that Jim stays in good health and can continue doing these great meets. I also hope I am able to continue going as I am not getting any younger. I think I posted before that I was at the first meet Jim had here, think it was the early 90's, maybe earlier. It was when Ron "Doc" Geisert who has since passed on had Delta College raise the price to rent the college parking lot for his bike swaps. Ron asked Jim if he could hold the swaps in his yard/lot. Jim told Ron it was OK as long as there was no charge to buy or sell. Ron said yes and it has stayed that way ever since. I made all 4 swaps here this year, hope for some more here next year. Thanks again so much Jim. And Doc I hope you are looking down at us from up there and smiling every time a meet is held at Jim's.
