it should also be noted that the mosture from the tree would cause decay and once removed youd see the bike was not restorable or rideable anyway..

the tree ate it alive!!

Can anyone help me identify the year of this bike. We found this encased in a tree. JC Higgins badge in the front but I don't see one just like it. Metal seat gard rubber tires. Thoughts??

Whoever cut down this tree surly took before pictures. They would be cool to see and know the history if it’s known.
As someone suggested a table base would be a good option for this piece.

Reminds me of a famous cottonwood tree in Montrose, CO. Somebody laid a black powder rifle in the crook of the tree. The tree encased most of the rifle as it grew except for the end of the barrel and the but plate. I got directions and actually saw the phenomena.

It was like eight feet in the air at that point. I got in a HUGE fight with some arborists who claimed the tree couldn't have carried the rifle UP, but yes grew around the rifle. So I'm to believe they got a ladder originally and put the rifle that high up in a tree's crook....BS.

I was wondering about that, I wonder if the bike was up off the ground at all...
