Very true.

But I think that's kind of an "Apples and Oranges" comparison of totally different types of bike frame and wheel construction.

The TIG welded frames were made with much lighter "thin wall" steel tubing than used on the "Electro Forged". The Weinmann Alloy rims are much lighter than any 26" or 27" Schwinn tubular rim.
