Was there also a version of the older A.J. Musselman hubs, that used a clutch with coarse teeth (at both ends), along with a removable threaded sleeve, where the clutch would interface with the shell?

Not sure if Musselman's Armless could be converted to the more typical hub, by simply swapping the left side cone that would accommodate the brake arm?

The un-improved Peerless hub looked like a (pre-1909?) Atherton hub, in the 1908 Sears catalog.
