PHANTOM OF THE "POGO"

From time to time I get unusual requests to restore bikes or saddles in
unconventional ways. This is an original 1936-1940 Schwinn full floating
saddle or "Pogo" seat. Parts are all original and the seat was done as
factory spec except the owner here decided he wanted Schwinn Phantom
Buckskin tan color instead of black. The Pogo seat pans are deep like the Phantom saddles..
and there is a very cool resemblance or kinship here.

Think of the flat stock, curved leaf spring portion as more of a hinge. The main spring is a coil type inside the post

Thanks for compliments.... It was a fun restoration project for a unique customer who
didn't care about "factory original" leather.... and just wanted that "Phantom" saddle look!

How come when I hear Phantom of the Pogo my mind thinks Lord of the Dance?!
