You’re totally right! I re-read the advertisement that you shared and it looks like the girls version was also optioned with a steel rear rim. Would you happen to know what the most common brand of rim would have been for a Pope built bicycle if this vintage?
 
My rims are not marked, or there aren't any marks remaining. I think the wheels are original. The rear has a Morrow that was made before 1915, so it could have been made in 1911. I have changed the bars and saddle since I took this photo.
