Prewar Western Flyer value

I have a Western Flyer bicycle that’s been sitting in my garage. a guy came by to pick up a felt bike I had and seeing the tank. And offered me $400 and a Electra three speed I don’t know much about the bike or how valuable it is. like I said it’s a Western Flyer. Can someone please tell me the value.

Tank alone is $800- the 2 speed is missing the cable but still worth at least $300.

So what bicycle is it other than Western Flyer what year and 400 is probably not enough for the bicycle correct.

The bike is Huffman built. Look at the back of the fork crown for either two or three numbers which will give you month and year e. g. “4 9” which would be April ‘39. Yep bike is worth more than $400. V/r Shawn

I think you are getting over valued council. Tank is very desirable but appears to have a rust issue. Difficult to tell without seeing the inside. The two speed shifter sells for $400 complete in good condition. You're the boss, but don't go into selling with over inflated expectations.
Never be ashamed to make a profit.

No rust in the tank then you might squeeze 800-1200 range out of it.
More than that and you're doing reeeeeal good
less than 8 and you're a super friendly seller
