Early Racer Hubs
Serial 165509 Rear Drop Out.
Nice Pierce Stamp on Down tube
Model stamp on down tube by head Looks like
Model 100 or 110 but can be off , take a peak
Lower case stamped patent 11/95 ( pretty sure )
Wheels marked Special Racer with “ 135” tread stamp( not sure if Original if so in killer condition )
Great Saddle , top looks like wheeler or Nassau looks like lower stamp says “ special “ below name on side jawls
Pierce post tensioner
Excellent Drop Bars with extended neck
Nice nickel Crankset
This bike was one of the first bikes to log in
Pierce mega thread.
Bought it quiet awhile from Carey
This is an outstanding example of Early Racer

Never have i used anything to clean this Pierce
Used a Vacuum to get the Cobb webbs out of the spokes
Wiped dust off with old sock . See the remnents on the hubs

I’m with you Mark I never use any oils on my bikes. This bike has gone 120 years or so without someone rubbing something on it and can go another 120 and be just fine.
